Jones Lang LaSalle Strengthens Southeast Retail Team with Appointment of John Bemis as Atlanta Retail Market Lead

Bemis relocates to Atlanta; Firm announces new leadership positions in Retail Group

ATLANTA, Nov. 14, 2012 — In its latest move to enhance the retail services it offers in select local markets across the country, Jones Lang LaSalle (NYSE: JLL) today announced the firm has named John Bemis as Atlanta Retail Market Lead. Coinciding with the Retail Group’s ongoing roll out of expanded services on a nationwide basis, the firm also has established new leadership roles, including the promotion of Kristin Mueller to Chief Operating Officer.

Bemis, formerly Director of Leasing & Development, based in the firm’s Atlanta office, will oversee Jones Lang LaSalle’s retail platform which includes tenant representation, landlord representation services including leasing, property management, accounting services and development across the Atlanta market under the direction of Steve Yenser, National Director of Retail Markets. He is also tasked with building the retail leadership team in the Atlanta office. The firm also has named Geno Coradini as the Retail Market Lead for Texas. These new appointments follow Retail Market Lead positions established in the past several months for Florida, California, Hawaii and the Midwest.

“John brings a wealth of expertise to this important role, including his leadership of the retail leasing department for the past five years, along with extensive property management experience, deep knowledge of the retail sector and solid relationships within the brokerage and real estate communities,” Yenser said. “He’ll be a great asset as we expand our retail services in the Atlanta market.”

Bemis’s new role is part of the firm’s initiative, launched earlier this year, to intensify resources at the local level by leveraging its Retail Tenant Representation capabilities – formerly known as Corporate Retail Solutions – to provide enhanced retail tenant representation services.

“As we continue our concerted effort to provide broader and more locally-based resources in select U.S. markets, I’m happy to have a person of John’s calibre in the Atlanta market to carry out our plan to offer a broader suite of retail services for our clients,” said Greg Maloney, President and CEO of Jones Lang LaSalle Retail.

In addition to the new Retail Market Lead positions in Atlanta and Texas, the firm has appointed several its executives to new leadership roles. Kristin Mueller has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer, a role in which she will oversee the expanded services platform in local markets and continue her leadership of the business development team. Lew Kornberg will lead the Retail Tenant Representation business, working with the local Retail Market Leads to enhance tenant representation services. Also, Kimli Cross will serve as Operations Lead for Retail Agency Leasing and Wally Wahlfeldt will become Operations Lead for Retail Tenant Representation.
