Jones Lang LaSalle Nearly Doubling the Size of its Minneapolis Office

Leading commercial real estate firm renews, expands lease as it builds market share in Twin Cities

MINNEAPOLIS, June 4, 2012 — The commercial real estate services firm Jones Lang LaSalle announced today that it is nearly doubling the size of its Minneapolis office as it continues to win new assignments, hire new employees and increase its market share here in the Twin Cities.

Under the terms of a new lease signed with Carlson Real Estate Co., the owner of the Plaza Seven office tower at 45 S. 7th St. in downtown Minneapolis, Jones Lang LaSalle will increase its footprint at the building from 4,900 square feet to approximately 9,000 square feet.

The announcement follows a variety of other major news stories involving Jones Lang LaSalle in the Twin Cities in recent months.

In April, Jones Lang LaSalle was honored at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal’s annual “Best in Real Estate” awards program in recognition of the firm’s work representing OLSON Advertising in their 125,000-square-foot office lease at Ford Center. Jones Lang LaSalle also took home three awards at this year’s Minnesota Commercial Association of REALTORS Awards including Industrial Deal of the Year, Retail Deal of the Year, and Office Deal of the Year.

Jones Lang LaSalle now employees more than 200 commercial real estate professionals in the greater Minneapolis St. Paul region and offers a full platform of services to its local clients including office tenant representation, office landlord representation, industrial services, data center services, project management, facility management, retail management and investment sales.

The firm is also property manager for the Calhoun Square and Rosedale Center retail malls and is the exclusive leasing agent for the RBC Plaza, Plaza Seven and 33 South Sixth office towers. Last month, Jones Lang LaSalle made headlines when the firm was selected by the Ramsey County Regional Rail Authority to provide property management and leasing services at St. Paul Union Depot.

Since the beginning of the year, the firm’s tenant representation team has also completed a variety of significant lease transactions locally on behalf of clients including Piper Jaffray, Michael Foods, Lockheed Martin, FICO and Greene Espel.

The Jones Lang LaSalle Twin Cities Executive Committee includes Chris Rohrer and Tad Jellison (tenant representation), Chris Hickok (industrial services) and Jon Dahl (landlord representation).
