Union Investment Real Estate GmbH Selects Jones Lang LaSalle as Exclusive Leasing Agent for 555 Mission

New lease completed with technology angel investor Series-G


San Francisco  - December 6, 2012 — Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) has been appointed exclusive leasing agent for 555 Mission, a 556,319 square foot Class A office tower owned by Hamburg, Germany-based Union Investment Real Estate GmbH. Seattle-headquartered Metzler North America Corporation serves as an exclusive advisor. Wes Powell and Karen Wells are the listing brokers.

Jones Lang LaSalle also announced that it has signed its first lease at 555 Mission with Series-G, a San Francisco-based technology angel investor and holding company, represented by Roman Adler of Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark Knight Frank.

Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and Heller Manus Architects, 555 Mission was the first LEED Gold core/shell certified office building in San Francisco and was completed in 2008.  The building anchors the vibrant Mission Street corridor and features stunning views of both the city and the bay from its upper floors.  The building incorporates sustainable design elements and includes a large outdoor plaza with public art sculptures. 

“This is the highest quality asset in a superior location close to retail and dining amenities and it is exceptionally well served by public transit, providing the perfect workspace environment for a broad mix of tenants seeking a premier address in the city,” said Wes Powell, Managing Director, Jones Lang LaSalle.  Powell added that the building is situated just across the street from the heart of the planned TransBay Transit Center, a $4 billion multi-modal transportation infrastructure project which will serve as the San Francisco terminus for California’s high speed rail project as well as Caltrain and eight other major transit systems.

555 Mission is currently 87.6 percent occupied and Jones Lang LaSalle is offering three full floors (33, 27 and 26) as well as a spec space on the second floor for lease. Major tenants include Deloitte, and leading law firms DLA Piper LLP, and Gibson Dunn Crutcher.
