Master Planned Development and HQ Expert Joins Jones Lang LaSalle in San Diego

30-Year veteran Romik Kesian to lead JLL’s San Diego Project & Development team

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 18, 2013 – Romik Kesian has joined the San Diego office of Jones Lang LaSalle to lead the local Project & Development Services division.  Kesian, a Senior Vice President with the company, will spearhead efforts to provide tenant and landlord institutional clients with a variety of project management services, from due diligence and design to construction and relocation oversight.

Prior to moving to San Diego, Kesian managed projects in JLL’s Denver and Chicago offices. In Chicago, he was responsible for several development projects, including the national headquarters for the American Academy of Pediatrics, as well as the prestigious $100 million redevelopment of Union Station in Washington, D.C. in partnership with the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Kesian was JLL’s senior team member responsible for a $250 million master planned residential land development investment portfolio, completing projects for this portfolio across Reno, Seattle and Orlando. He was also responsible for overseeing the development of Guidant Corporations $70 million headquarters and manufacturing facility in Temecula, and he managed DreamWorks, SKG’s headquarters and studio campus development in Playa Vista, California.

In addition to his more than 30 years of real estate development, construction management, real estate finance and specialty developments, Kesian holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in Finance from the University of Chicago and a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the University of London. He is the author of the soon-to-be-published book The Art of Real Estate Investment Finance. He is a member of Urban Land Institute and president of the La Jolla Golden Triangle Rotary Club.
