Jones Lang LaSalle Expands Operation in Richmond and Hampton Roads Markets

Firm Adds Talent with Region’s Top Broker Charlie Polk


Washington, DC, July 21, 2009 – Jones Lang LaSalle today announced it is expanding its market presence in Richmond and Hampton Roads, and has hired the region’s top producer, Charlie Polk, as a Managing Director.
 
 “It is a natural fit to increase our presence in Richmond and Hampton Roads given the strength of our company across the rest of the Mid-Atlantic region,” said David McGarry, Mid-Atlantic Market Director. “Charlie is an outstanding broker with a long successful track record and the addition of him to our team will further enhance our ability to serve clients.”
 
Jones Lang LaSalle’s office in Richmond has primarily been focused on project development services working with clients such as Virginia Commonwealth University Health System and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.  With the addition of Polk, Jones Lang LaSalle will offer comprehensive services including agency leasing, tenant representation, industrial leasing and capital markets.
 
“The deep water ports, excellent infrastructure and access to rail make the Richmond and Hampton Roads regions ideal locations for industrial users. From these areas, you can reach one-third of the population within 12 hours and the largest users can find many choices for sites,” added McGarry.
 
Charlie Polk has over 20 years of experience with expertise in corporate real es­tate services for office and industrial users in the Richmond and Hampton Roads markets. Charlie joins Jones Lang LaSalle from GVA Advantis where he was the all time top producer for the firm. He is a member of the Society of Industrial & Office Realtors, National Association of Realtors, and Richmond Association of Realtors.  Some of his clients include Capital One, Bostwick Laboratories, Lumber Liquidators, Cherry Bekaert & Holland, and Morgan Stanley/Smith Barney.
