Jones Lang LaSalle Secures Lease for one of Nation’s Largest Blue Cross Blue Shield Providers

Highmark Inc. taps firm’s Tenant Representation Group for new office space

Pittsburgh, Oct. 15, 2012 – Jones Lang LaSalle recently announced that its Tenant Representation Group represented Highmark Inc., and its West Virginia affiliate, Highmark West Virginia Inc., in securing 20,000 square-feet of office space in The Highlands, a premier commerce complex center located in Triadelphia, West Virginia.

Highmark Inc., based in Pittsburgh, is an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association. Serving more than 4.9 million Pennsylvania health plan members, Highmark is one of the largest Blue plans in the United States. Highmark West Virginia, headquartered in Parkersburg, with offices in both Wheeling and Charleston, enlisted members of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Pittsburgh-based Tenant Representation Group, including Managing Director Dan Adamski and Vice President Nick Francic, as it sought new space to accommodate its growing needs.

“We are honored to assist Highmark as it continues its nearly 75-year tradition of being the leading health and wellness company in the communities it serves,” said Adamski.

Owned by the Ohio County Development Authority, The Highlands is located just seven miles from Wheeling, West Virginia. The complex features office space, retail, dining and entertainment amenities, and is also home to a satellite campus of West Liberty University. Just 50 miles from its Pittsburgh headquarters, Highmark West Virginia plans to move into its new space from its current Wheeling office once construction is completed at the end of 2012.
