Jones Lang LaSalle Appoints Doug Sharp to President of Corporate Solutions

Leader to drive innovative approach to new product and service development throughout Americas

CHICAGO, Oct 4, 2012 — Jones Lang LaSalle today announced that it has appointed Doug Sharp to a new role as President of the firm’s Americas Corporate Solutions business. Sharp, formerly head of the firm’s Client Solutions group, assumes this new broader management and product development role effective immediately. Sharp will continue to report to Corporate Solutions CEO Tod Lickerman as they partner to differentiate and expertly deliver the firm’s product and service offerings for one of Jones Lang LaSalle’s core global growth businesses.

Jones Lang LaSalle’s Corporate Solutions business helps corporations improve the cost, efficiency and performance of their national, regional or global real estate portfolios by creating outsourcing partnerships to manage and execute a range of occupier services. This service delivery capability helps create new client relationships, particularly as companies turn to the outsourcing of their real estate activity as a way to manage expenses and enhance productivity and profitability. Jones Lang LaSalle aligns its collective knowledge to help clients use their real estate as a competitive advantage.

In his new role, Sharp will align the firm’s sales organization with innovative products and services that differentiate the firm and accelerate its speed to market and ability to better serve Jones Lang LaSalle’s Corporate Solutions clients across the business. He will oversee the firm’s consulting, marketing, sales, product development and service line programs for Corporate Solutions.
Sharp has been a leader in the real estate industry for 25 years. He brings expert project and people management skills, along with a proven track record of helping real estate organizations maximize the efficiency of their national and global portfolios. His career includes experience on all three sides of real estate, as an investor, a corporate user and an advisor. His broad expertise makes him highly effective at collaborating with clients to build solutions that best meet their current and future business and real estate needs.

In his previous leadership role in Jones Lang LaSalle’s Client Solutions group, Sharp focused on growing new business lines and channels.  He has also served Jones Lang LaSalle as President and Chief Executive Officer of the firm’s Project and Development Services Group in the Americas, and he was the Global Chairman of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Banking Industry Practice, where he founded and developed this industry sector group.

Sharp holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics from the University of Michigan. In addition, he holds a Master’s of Corporate Real Estate (MCR) designation from CoreNet Global (Corporate Real Estate Network), where he was Vice President and Chapter Officer in Los Angeles. As a member of the CoreNet Global faculty, he has co-lectured on both project management and basic finance. He is also a regular speaker on best practices and future trends for project management. Sharp is certified as a Six Sigma Greenbelt by Motorola University
