Jones Lang LaSalle adds Dave Anderson to Public Institutions Group

Anderson joins team as Executive Vice President in the Washington DC office

WASHINGTON, Sept 25, 2012 – Jones Lang LaSalle (NYSE:JLL) announced today that Dave Anderson has joined the firm’s Public Institutions practice as an Executive Vice President in the Washington, D.C. office. Anderson will be responsible for the development and execution of infrastructure privatization business and will provide strategic counsel on public sector projects.

“With 26 years of experience in engineering and construction in the military, David has the ability to lead the Public Institutions team to optimize efficiency and reduce real estate costs for government clients,” said Barry Scribner, Co-President, Public Institutions Practice, Jones Lang LaSalle. “He has a record of successfully executing some of the most challenging infrastructure programs for the Department of Defense and intelligence community.”

Anderson recently concluded a career as an officer in the United States Army, culminating as the commander and District Engineer of the Corps of Engineers’ Baltimore District. In this role he oversaw a $5 billion military construction program across the mid-Atlantic region, restoration initiatives in the Chesapeake Bay, flood risk management programs in the Susquehanna and Potomac River basins, and engineering and real property support to the Army and intelligence community. He also served as the Army's liaison officer to Congress on the Residential Communities Initiative and other property matters, and also previously commanded the Corps' district in Honolulu.

“As the Public Institution group continues to grow, Dave’s extensive professional experience in construction management for federal projects will allow Jones Lang LaSalle to deliver innovative real estate solutions to the public sector,” added Scribner Jones Lang LaSalle.

"I have experienced first-hand the unprecedented fiscal pressure on federal agencies.  Getting the mission accomplished with dwindling resources is becoming harder every day,” said Anderson. “I am proud to join the proven professionals on the Jones Lang LaSalle Public Institutions team, where I can help government entities -- from local to federal – find new, creative, and effective ways to solve their most difficult challenges."

Anderson graduated from the United States Military Academy with a bachelor of science in applied science and engineering. He went on to receive a master of science in engineering at the University of Texas specializing in construction engineering and project management. He also has a master of science in national strategy resourcing from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces. Anderson is a recipient of the Society of American Military Engineers’ 2011 Goethals Medal, which is awarded to engineers for “eminent and notable contributions in engineering, design, or construction in the past five years.”
