Meloe Barfield joins firm as Senior Vice President to bolster growing client demand for financing expertise in Florida
ORLANDO, July 5, 2012 – Jones Lang LaSalle today announced the firm has hired Meloe Barfield in an effort to further strengthen its Capital Markets expertise in Florida. Barfield joins the firm as a Senior Vice President and will work under the direction of Managing Directors Denny St. Romain, Jubeen Vaghefi and Jeff Morris to enhance the firm’s Southeast equity and debt placement, structured finance, joint ventures, investment sales and advisory platforms across all asset types. She will be located in the firms Orlando office.
“Meloe is well established professional in the financial industry and is recognized throughout the Southeast as a leader in real estate investment banking. Her addition to the team will further expand our platform of expertise and capabilities in Florida,” said St. Romain. “As the market continues to rebound from the recession, we are seeing an uptick in acquisition and development in the Southeast and an increased need for commercial lending expertise. Meloe’s longstanding relationships with key lenders will drive immediate value for our clients.”
Barfield brings to Jones Lang LaSalle more than 20 years of expertise, with a strong background in the financial industry. Prior to joining the firm, Barfield was responsible for new client acquisition and portfolio management in Central Florida for the Commercial Real Estate Group of City National Bank. She also previously served as a Group Leader in Commercial Real Estate at Fifth Third Bank. Barfield has a bachelor’s degree in economics from The Ohio State University, and is actively involved in International Council of Shopping Centers, Commercial Real Estate Women, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, and the Downtown Orlando Partnership.
