Jones Lang LaSalle Adds Suburban Landlord Brokerage Team in Chicago

Industry Veterans Bruce Renwick and Karla Harmon to Lease Arden Realty’s East-West Portfolio

CHICAGO, June 29, 2009 – Jones Lang LaSalle, the leading integrated financial and professional services firm specializing in real estate, announced today it had hired Bruce Renwick and Karla Harmon as Leasing Directors.  Renwick and Harmon will assist in leasing Arden Realty’s three million square foot office portfolio in the East-West Corridor, a large part of the 4.2 million square feet of commercial real estate that Arden owns in the Chicago area. The East-West Corridor was assigned to Jones Lang LaSalle in May and is comprised of five major office properties, including Westbrook Corporate Center in Westchester and Oakbrook Terrace Tower.

“We are thrilled to have been selected as the leasing agent of Arden’s East-West portfolio,” said Dan Ryan, Midwest Market Director, Jones Lang LaSalle.  “Adding veterans like Bruce and Karla to our already strong suburban team positions us perfectly to help Arden achieve its leasing objectives. We look forward to bringing the depth of our Chicago suburban team and the broader resources of our firm to bear on this important assignment.”

A commercial real estate leader with more than 10 years experience in Chicago, Renwick comes to Jones Lang LaSalle from Leasecorp, Inc., where he served as Director of National Accounts.  Prior to that he was Director of Leasing for Equity Office Properties Trust and worked on buildings in every major downtown and suburban Chicago submarket, including what is now the Arden portfolio in the East-West Corridor.  In this role, he averaged a yearly lease volume in excess of $100 million per year.  In 2005, Renwick was nominated by the Greater Chicago Food Depository Commercial Real Estate Awards as the Chicago Property Representative of the Year.

“Jones Lang LaSalle’s strong client base and collaborative culture will provide a great platform on which to continue to cultivate the relationships I’ve built during my career in suburban Chicago,” said Renwick.

Harmon added, “Bruce and I know these assets intimately and we look forward to using our building knowledge and local market expertise to help lease these pristine assets.”

Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Harmon was a Senior Leasing Director for CityGate Centre in Naperville which is owned by Calamos Real Estate.  Prior to that, Harmon was also with Equity Office Properties Trust and helped lease its East-West portfolio completing more than 42 transactions totaling nearly $300 million in 2006.
