Jones Lang LaSalle Names Michael Yazbec to Lead Chicago Construction Services Group

CHICAGO, June 23, 2009 ─ Jones Lang LaSalle today announced the firm has elevated Michael Yazbec, effective July 1, to lead its Chicago Construction Services group and help facilitate its growth.  Dermot Roe, who currently holds this position, will relocate to Boston in the latter half of the year to drive the strategic growth for the firm’s construction capability in select markets nationwide.  Jones Lang LaSalle launched its Chicago construction capability in 2007.
“Mike’s diverse experience in the design and construction industry, coupled with his knowledge of Jones Lang LaSalle’s breadth and depth of services, makes him the ideal person to lead and grow our Midwest construction capability,” said Dan Ryan, Midwest Market Director, Jones Lang LaSalle. “Since we launched the construction business two years ago we have completed more than 80 projects.  We have quickly built a strong reputation in interior build-outs and construction management.”
Ryan added, “Dermot made outstanding inroads in providing construction services to our clients in Chicago and will take that expertise to launch the firm’s capabilities in select cities nationwide.”
Yazbec joined Jones Lang LaSalle in 2005 in its Project and Development Services group.  In this role he was a team lead for the Variable Project Management practice and was responsible for business development and strategic account management for corporate clients requiring “on-call” project management services throughout the Midwest.  Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Yazbec was a Project Executive/Principal with Charles Hall Construction, LLC.  Prior to that, Yazbec was part of the senior management team that led the Special Projects Division of Turner Construction in Chicago. Yazbec holds a master’s degree in Architecture with a business concentration and bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
