Butler and Rupp to Lead Jones Lang LaSalle’s Brokerage Business in Central Florida

Firm’s top producers Chris Butler and Chad Rupp take leadership role

TAMPA, Apr. 3, 2012 — Jones Lang LaSalle today announced that Managing Directors Chris Butler and Chad Rupp will head the firm’s brokerage business for Central Florida.  Based in Tampa, they will manage and grow the landlord and tenant representation teams for both office and industrial real estate in Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville and Tallahassee.

Both Butler and Rupp joined Jones Lang LaSalle when the firm merged with The Staubach Company in 2008. Prior to seven years running Staubach’s Tampa office together, they served with CLW Real Estate Group.

A 23-year industry veteran, Butler’s first ten years were spent in development with Opus. Now, he specializes in both landlord and tenant representation and is responsible for more than 1.5 million square feet of office space across the Tampa Bay area.

Butler has received numerous industry accolades during his career including consecutive CoStar Power Broker awards.  He is a member of NAIOP (National Association of Industrial and Office Properties), the Real Estate Investment Council (REIC), and a board member for the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce.

Another industry veteran, Rupp has extensive experience representing tenant clients on their office portfolios. Also, one of the state’s top performers he has also been recognized with consecutive ‘top producer’ awards including CoStar’s coveted Top 25 Broker award. 

Prior to his real estate career, Rupp was a professional baseball player with the Minnesota Twins and the Toronto Blue Jays.  He serves on the Jesuit High School Foundation and is heavily involved with Tampa’s Little League Baseball program.
