ICSC Appoints Jones Lang LaSalle’s Alex Kirley as Hawaii State Director

Kirley, Marketing Manager of Windward Mall on Oahu, will serve as State Director for 2012-2013

Honolulu, March 21, 2012 – Jones Lang LaSalle announced today that the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) has appointed Alex Kirley, who is Marketing Manager of Windward Mall on Oahu, as Hawaii State Director for a one-year term beginning May 20. In this volunteer role, Kirley will represent the interests of owners, developers, investors, marketers and other retail specialists across the state of Hawaii.

"ICSC is delighted to welcome Alexandra into this new leadership role", said Lee Hanley, President & CEO of Vestar Development, ICSC Trustee and Western Division Vice President. "Her enthusiasm and willingness to contribute to the success of ICSC and the retail real estate industry will be of great benefit to our growing membership in Hawaii."

Kirley joined Jones Lang LaSalle in May 2010 and serves on the firm’s Property Advisory Committee. Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle Retail, she was Regional Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Desert Island Restaurants, where she oversaw sales and marketing initiatives for the company’s nationally-branded restaurants in Hawaii.

“We’re pleased that ICSC, the world’s leading retail trade association, has chosen Alexandra for this leadership position, and we’re confident that she will bring the same enthusiasm in her volunteer role with ICSC as she does in leading marketing efforts at Windward Mall,” said Orange County-based Cynthia Murphy, Senior Vice President, Regional Leasing Director for Jones Lang LaSalle. “She is setting an excellent example of the active role that Jones Lang LaSalle encourages its professionals to take in their communities and in the retail sector.”

In addition to her new role as ICSC’s Hawaii State Director, Kirley serves as co-chair of the association’s Hawaii Idea Exchange. She is also a member of the Hospitality Committee of the Retail Merchants Hawaii Association. She holds a master’s degree in business administration from Chaminade University on Honolulu.

In Hawaii, Jones Lang LaSalle currently leases and manages Queen Ka’ahumanu Center on Maui, Kings’ Shops on the Big Island of Hawaii, Windward Mall on Oahu and leases Kapalama Center, also on Oahu.
