Jones Lang LaSalle Adds Capital Markets Expert in Jacksonville

Tarik Bateh joins firm as Vice President; specializes in financing of all property types

JACKSONVILLE, FL, Mar. 5, 2012– Due to an improved lending market and increasing demand from clients in Northern Florida, Jones Lang LaSalle today announced the firm has hired Tarik Bateh to bolster its Capital Markets expertise in Jacksonville.  Bateh joins as a Vice President and his arrival marks the first Capital Markets hire in the Jacksonville office.  He will work under the direction of Managing Directors Denny St. Romain, Jubeen Vaghefi and Jeff Morris to bolster the firm’s expertise in equity and debt placement, structured finance, joint ventures, investment sales, and advisory projects for all asset types throughout the southeast United States.

“Tarik’s long history in the Jacksonville market, combined with his proven ability to simplify complex financial structures, makes him a perfect addition to our team as we expand into the Jacksonville market with our capital markets expertise,” said St. Romain.  “In the past year, we’ve seen Jacksonville and its surrounding submarkets following a steady path to recovery and we expect Tarik to make an immediate impact for clients in that region.”

Bateh brings more than six years of expertise in real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development, finance, and law as a principal, intermediary, and attorney.  Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Bateh served as Principal of Bateh Real Estate Advisors, a boutique capital advisory firm focused on helping real estate owners and operators source and structure senior and subordinate capital for acquisitions, developments and recapitalizations of multifamily, hotel, retail and office projects.  He has also served as Senior Director with Hardin Investment Partners in Atlanta and Director of Project Development with Barry Real Estate Companies, also in Atlanta.  Bateh began his career as an attorney with Rogers Towers, P.A. in Jacksonville, Florida specializing in land use, government relations, and real estate law.  He earned his Bachelor of Science with Special Attainments in Commerce, with a major in Business Administration, from Washington and Lee University.  Bateh also received both a Juris Doctor, cum laude, and a Master of Science in Business Administration – Real Estate, from the University of Florida.   He serves on the Membership and Programs Committees of the Urban Land Institute’s North Florida District Council, and is a mentor to students in the University of Florida’s graduate Real Estate Program.
