Jones Lang LaSalle Appoints Retail Leasing Specialist in San Francisco

John Stevens specializes in Retail Leasing in Northern California and Hawaii


SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. Feb. 14, 2012 — Jones Lang LaSalle announced that John Stevens joined the firm’s San Francisco office as Vice President, Leasing Specialist.  A 25-year veteran of commercial real estate, Stevens will focus on leasing space in the firm’s 12 million-square-foot, third-party retail portfolio on the West Coast.  Stevens brings a strong reputation for developing successful leasing and merchandising programs across many types of retail projects.

Stevens joins Jones Lang LaSalle from General Growth Properties (GGP) where, for more than 13 years, he leased some of the REIT’s largest and most productive properties in the Western United States, including San Francisco’s Stonestown Galleria, Eastridge Mall in San Jose and Southland Mall in Hayward, Calif.  Stevens proved an integral member of the project team that expanded the world’s largest outdoor shopping center, Ala Moana Center in Hawaii, introducing the first Nordstrom and Apple stores to the market in 2008. Stevens has also held senior leasing positions with various other commercial real estate companies, including The Yarmouth Group and Homart Development.

Jones Lang LaSalle currently leases and manages Windward Mall and Kapalama Center on Oahu, Queen Kaahumanu Center on Maui and Kings’ Shops on the Big Island of Hawaii. In the Pacific Northwest, the firm currently leases and/or manages more than 30 retail centers, totaling nearly six million square-feet.

Stevens is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and is involved with Team in Training, an organization dedicated to supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
