LOS ANGELES, Jan. 4, 2012 — Jones Lang LaSalle today announced the appointment of Peter Belisle as Market Director charged with overseeing the firm’s business across the Southwest region, which includes Las Vegas, the Los Angeles area, Orange County, Phoenix, and San Diego.  Jan Pope has been named the head of Corporate Solutions’ West Region. Both Pope and Belisle, who have held numerous leadership roles at the firm, will assume their respective positions immediately.

“Jan and Peter are two tremendously talented individuals who have the client focus, expertise and insight to take Jones Lang LaSalle to the next level in terms of delivering even more value to our clients,” said John Gates, Managing Director, Markets West, Jones Lang LaSalle.  “Peter’s deep understanding of the market, exemplary leadership capabilities and extensive knowledge of all that our firm offers will help drive the growth we need in this vital region.  He has worked in Los Angeles for most of his career, knows the region, understands the needs of occupiers and investors, and has the broad experience that this role requires. Both Peter and Jan are uniquely suited to their new roles.”

As the head of Corporate Solutions’ West Region, Pope will be responsible for continuing to deliver the value-added integrated real estate services that corporate clients need to further their business.  She will also be responsible for creating stronger partnerships between the firm’s Markets organization and its Corporate Solutions clients to ensure that they are benefitting from the entire Jones Lang LaSalle platform. As the Southwest Market Director since 2008, she was instrumental in driving growth and expanding business lines.  With her oversight, the firm’s property management portfolio doubled and the landlord leasing portfolio grew more than 400 percent during her tenure as Market Director.

“Jan has helped make Jones Lang LaSalle a dominant firm in the Southwest region,” said Bill Thummel, Chief Operating Officer, Corporate Solutions, Jones Lang LaSalle.  “Her intimate knowledge of both the Markets organization and our Corporate Solutions platform makes her the ideal person to create stronger connections, find efficiencies and further help our corporate clients find savings. This is a win-win situation for all of our clients.”

Belisle joined Jones Lang LaSalle in 2000 from The Walt Disney Company where he served as the Director of Development and Program Management with responsibility for more than $230 million of international development.  Most recently, Belisle served as the President of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Energy and Sustainability Services overseeing more than 90 professionals in the U.S.  Prior to that, he served as the President of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Project and Development Services group overseeing more than 1,200 project managers responsible for assignments with an aggregate construction value of more than $20 billion.

Prior to her Market Director role, Pope served as Co-President of the firm’s U.S. Tenant Representation Group and spent 10 years in Northern California, expanding the firm’s footprint. Prior to her tenure at Jones Lang LaSalle, she held various senior management positions with IBM.  In her last position with IBM, she was responsible for $1.6 billion in annual revenue in 10 western states.
