Jones Lang LaSalle Supports U.S. General Services Administration with Northern Virginia Lease

GSA renews/expands lease at Pomponio Plaza East in Rosslyn, VA

Arlington, VA, Feb. 14, 2011 — Jones Lang LaSalle today announced its Public Institutions experts assisted the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) in successfully negotiating a lease expansion in the Rosslyn submarket of Northern Virginia.  The 243,000-square-foot 10-year lease expands the government’s occupancy in the Pomponio Plaza East building, located in at 1800 North Kent Street in Arlington, Virginia. 

The building is owned by The Wade Company, LLC.  The GSA’s space acquisition team was led by Mark Stadsklev, Lease Contracting Officer, and Gary Arabak, Lease Contract Specialist.  Jones Lang LaSalle professionals representing the government included Jae Lee and Matt Witlin.  David Alperstein of FD Partners represented The Wade Company.

According to their website, GSA’s leased portfolio contains more than 7,100 separate properties – totaling approximately 189 million square feet – dispersed across the United States.  Since 2005, Jones Lang LaSalle has assisted GSA in the award of more than 950 leases.  Nationwide, the firm is currently assisting on more than 575 lease procurements for Federal civilian departments and agencies across the executive, legislative and judicial branches.
