Jones Lang LaSalle Grows Project Management Expertise in Denver

Firm hires top project managers Pete Dordick and Charles Kessler

DENVER, August 23, 2011 — Jones Lang LaSalle has appointed Pete Dordick as Vice President and Charles Kessler as Senior Project Manager for the firm’s Project and Development Services (PDS) team in Denver.

“Adding Pete and Charles further strengthens the depth and expertise of our Denver team, which ultimately benefits our clients,” said John Cracraft, who heads the PDS team in Denver.  “Pete will primarily focus on the hotel industry nationwide, providing his expertise on new developments and renovations, while Charles will be working with one of our premier healthcare clients on their project requirements.”

Dordick is a 20-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry and a specialist in hotels and resorts. A former real estate attorney, Dordick has worked on developments across the U.S., the Caribbean and Latin America.  From acquisition analysis through entitlements, construction and operations, he has led the development, sales and acquisitions of several hundred million dollars worth of real estate projects during his career. 

He joins Jones Lang LaSalle from hotel real estate firm HVS, where he was a director in transaction services. Dordick holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado and a juris doctorate from the University of Denver.
Kessler brings a strong background in architecture, design and project management to his new role at Jones Lang LaSalle.  During his career, he has worked on projects ranging from 1,000 to 5 million square feet, including hotels, high rises and airports, to name but a few.  Kessler is a former principal at Ricca Newmark Design and most recently provided architectural consulting services.  He also teaches as an adjunct professor at Red Rocks Community College in the Interior Design Program.

Kessler holds a master’s degree in architecture from Virginia Polytechnic and State University and a bachelor’s degree in design from the University of Florida. He is a licensed architect in the State of Colorado.

There are more than 200 Jones Lang LaSalle real estate professionals based in the Rocky Mountain region. The firm currently leases more than 7 million square feet and manages 6.9 million square feet of assets across the Denver Metro Area.
