Unicom Signs 17,000 SF lease at Republic Plaza, Denver

Firm renews and expands at Colorado’s tallest building

DENVER, May 26, 2011 — Jones Lang LaSalle today announced that Unicom Capital LLC has signed a 17,000-square-foot lease deal at Republic Plaza, 370 17th Street in downtown Denver.  The investment management firm currently resides at the 56-story office tower and will expand its footprint by a further 7,000 square feet.

Peter Schippits, Senior Vice President at Jones Lang LaSalle represented the landlord, Brookfield Office Properties in the lease transaction, while Scott Mueller, Vice President of Unicom and Phillip Larson of Larson Bushell represented Unicom.

Owned and managed by Brookfield Office Properties, Republic Plaza is the state of Colorado’s tallest building.  Standing at 714 feet this Class-A office tower is located at the heart of the central business district and is 93 percent occupied.

There are more than 200 Jones Lang LaSalle real estate professionals based in the Rocky Mountain region. The firm currently leases more than 7 million square feet and manages 6.9 million square feet of assets across the Denver Metro Area.
