Skolnick to expand firm’s mid-Atlantic healthcare consulting, project and development services.

WASHINGTON, May 6, 2011 – Jones Lang LaSalle has hired Curtis Skolnick as a Vice President in its Project and Development Services (PDS), specializing in Healthcare projects in the Mid-Atlantic region as well as support the firm’s Healthcare Solutions practice nationally.  He will oversee individual healthcare engagements, strategic master facilities planning, functional and space programming, and launching capital projects.

“Jones Lang LaSalle’s Project and Development Services is an industry leader in implementing healthcare solutions,” said Chris Molivadas, Managing Director, Jones Lang LaSalle.  “Skolnick adds depth to our healthcare practice, allowing us to seamlessly lead clients through the complexities of planning a healthcare capital project while ensuring the investment is well-conceived and appropriately launched prior to design and construction. He is the natural choice to complement Jones Lang LaSalle’s national and local efforts to strengthen and expand healthcare projects and initiatives.”

Skolnick brings 19 years of healthcare industry experience, specializing in large healthcare planning, healthcare solutions and capital projects with a focus on project leadership, strategic and facilities planning, client relations and project visioning and launch.

“My experience as a healthcare planner and manager, as a consultant and provider, coupled with my familiarity and knowledge of the region and industry, gives me the ability to add value to owners and operators by providing forward-thinking and pragmatic, implementable solutions,” said Skolnick.

Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Skolnick worked as a Principal Consultant with the KLMK Group.  Here, he led and managed multiple complex healthcare projects.  Before KLMK, he acted as a Senior Planning Analyst with Arista Associates and Kurt Salmon Associates, both national healthcare consulting firms specializing in strategic facilities planning.  Skolnick also has experience as a provider, having worked in-house as a Senior Planning Analyst with Inova Health System in Northern Virginia.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Management, Skolnick earned a Masters of Health Administration, both from Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia.  He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the Central Virginia Healthcare Executive Group, and an affiliate member of the Center for Health Design.  In addition to speaking at the ACHE Congress on Healthcare Leadership, and the American Society for Healthcare Engineers International Summit and Exhibition for Health Planning, Design & Construction, Skolnick has led multiple national webinars and been published in several periodicals, including Healthcare Design Magazine.  In 2009, he was honored with an American College of Healthcare Executives Service Award.
