Jones Lang LaSalle CFO & COO Lauralee E. Martin Inducted into the University of Connecticut School of Business Hall of Fame

Leader of global real estate services and investment management firm recognized by alma mater for professional and personal achievements

CHICAGO, May 2, 2011 – Jones Lang LaSalle announced today the firm’s Chief Financial and Operating Officer, Lauralee E. Martin, has been inducted into the University of Connecticut School of Business Hall of Fame.

The University of Connecticut (UConn) School of Business Hall of Fame was established in 1993 to recognize alumni who have achieved outstanding success in their business careers and have made significant contributions to their professions and communities. Martin received her M.B.A. from UConn in 1979, and is one of over 35,000 alumni of the UConn School of Business.  Approximately 105 alums have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.

“Lauralee Martin is an exemplary recipient of this distinction as she has applied her UConn education into a prodigious career and currently serves in an elite role as a leader of Jones Lang LaSalle, a financial and professional services firm specializing in real estate,” said P. Christopher Earley, Dean of the School of Business, University of Connecticut. “This award is granted not only for professional accomplishments but for a distinguished commitment to civil service. In addition to helping drive Jones Lang LaSalle’s success through prudent financial and operational oversight, Lauralee has been at the helm of the firm’s strong commitment to advancing environmental sustainability in the commercial real estate industry.” 

Lauralee Martin joined Jones Lang LaSalle as Chief Financial Officer in January 2002 and was named Chief Financial and Operating Officer in 2005.  She is responsible for all global finance functions including accounting, tax, treasury, internal audit and investor relations together with information technology and all aspects of the firm’s operational platform.  Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Martin was CFO of Heller Financial Inc., and previously headed the mortgage banking and construction lending divisions of GE Capital.

Along with the M.B.A. she received from UConn that granted her this achievement, Martin also earned a B.A. from Oregon State University. She serves on the Boards of Jones Lang LaSalle, Kaiser Aluminium, HCP, Inc. and the Oregon State Board of Visitors. She is also a member of the Executives’ Club of Chicago, the Economic Club and the Chicago Network, and a Trustee of the Urban Land Institute.

Martin’s induction into the University of Connecticut School Of Business Hall of Fame ceremony took place Friday April 29, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. in the Lewis B. Rome Commons Ballroom on the Storrs campus.  For more information about the program please visit:
