Jones Lang LaSalle Carolinas Manage Complete Makeover of Hundreds of Food Lion Stores

When Food Lion decided to strengthen its brand reputation across the Southeast, it chose Jones Lang LaSalle Carolinas to manage the Brand Strategy Program. Jones Lang LaSalle’s Project and Development Services created a three-phase solution for the store rehabilitation program, which comprised of multiple interior and exterior upgrades. 

Led by Senior Project Manager Sandra Martin, Jones Lang LaSalle’s Carolinas team successfully managed the surveying and construction of 578 stores in 7 states - Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania - from October 2011 to January 2013.  The average square footage per store is 34,000 s.f.

Jones Lang LaSalle successfully completed the Brand Strategy Program on schedule and within Food Lion budget. In addition, Jones Lang LaSalle has partnered with Food Lion and 18 General Contractors to implement a consistent program approach for Food Lion Brand Strategy. The program has created a unit pricing model, saving a significant amount of money for Food Lion.
