Case Study

Bell Helicopter

Bell Helicopter was founded in 1935 and has since continued to set the pace as an aircraft industry leader. To remain a brand and employer of choice, the Bell CEO determined that its corporate campus needed a makeover after a young prospect decided to work elsewhere due to its out-of-date facilities.

Bell took immediate action and engaged JLL to consolidate its real estate and development efforts under a single project manager.

Today the firms continue to work together to ensure that the projected five-year goals are met on time and within budget. It is estimated that Bell will invest $224 million to improve the campus, recruit and retain top talent and consolidate its operating functions at one location. JLL is providing real estate strategy, program and project management, budget and schedule controls, site selection and due diligence. Projects include Bell’s new global headquarters building, flight training center, and relocation of the repair and overhaul center.

Recently in an interview with D CEO, the Bell Helicopter President and CEO John Garrison said, “We’re creating an environment that is far more conducive to collaboration and cooperation, in engineering and our other groups as well. We challenge our teams to do incredible work. I’m passionate about having the right operating environment, the right physical environment.” JLL is working to make this passion a reality.
