  • New Quito International Airport to replace existing Marisal Sucre Airport (UIO).
  • Only Greenfield airport project underway in Western Hemisphere.
  • Quito main flower export airport for South America to U.S. and Europe; Lower
    altitude, longer runways of new airport to provide for larger aircraft, longer range,
    increasing cargo through-put.
  • NQIA privatized through select bid process. Awarded to Canadian Construction
    Corp; AECON and AG (Brazil) consortium; JV Partnership (Quiport) formed.
  • Project team led by John Carver to provide on call advisory and real estate services.
  • Benchmark Study commissioned to ascertain comparable revenues for international
    airports throughout Latin America, assessing air cargo, flight catering, GSE, aircraft
    maintenance, and general aviation services.
  • RFP administration for 3rd Party Developers to undertake and operate select design
    elements of the airport via sub-concessionaire structure.
  • Marketing outreach to existing UIO tenants for relocation to new airport by
    October, 2010.
  • Comprehensive benchmarking study delivered analyzing 5 comparable airports,
    including Lima, Santiago, Panama City, Guyaquil (EC) and Bogotá.
  • 3rd Party Developer attraction and RFP process fully administered by Multimodal
  • Investment capital and underwriting services performed to provide funding necessary for expanded NQIA project scope.
  • All 130 non-passenger terminal airport customers and/or tenants registered for future contract negotiations and relocation to new airport; onsite leasing manager
    and office set-up by Multimodal team.
