Case Study

LegalZoom

LegalZoom is the most recognized brand in the legal industry, providing affordable legal protection for business owners and families.

LegalZoom needed a commercial real estate firm to help align its real estate strategy with its rapidly growing brand. After a competitive interview process, they chose Jones Lang LaSalle as their real estate partner.

Our specialized team developed a strategic real estate plan that not only defined LegalZoom’s key objectives, but also considered labor and demographic impacts and identified alternative scenarios to accommodate their operations. We successfully relocated LegalZoom from its initial location in Los Angeles to Glendale, CA, which eliminated their gross receipts tax, saving the company approximately $1M per year. The relocation also created an environment that reflects LegalZoom’s values of collaboration and efficiency, which translates into better experiences for their customers.

To accommodate LegalZoom’s rapid growth, the Jones Lang LaSalle team is currently working on additional transactions in San Francisco, Glendale, Austin and London.
