PerkinElmer: The science of building solid structures

PerkinElmer, a longtime client of Jones Lang LaSalle, worked in partnership with our brokerage team to secure PerkinElmer with 115,000 square foot office facility in Waltham, MA. The space was to become the Massachusetts Headquarters for life sciences firm and with the Jones Lang LaSalle construction team having previously constructed their original MA headquarters; PerkinElmer viewed our construction group as the natural choice to perform the interior construction of this new space. Construction provided an open plan work environment with central access to all common areas and then a mix of hard walled executive offices, a high-end boardroom and multiple conference areas.

Additionally, 9,500 square feet was designated for the build-out of independent research laboratories which required advanced electrical and HVAC systems. Other features of this build out include a two story dining area with skylight, two artfully designed interior stair systems and an employee fitness facility. All work was performed on an abbreviated timeline and is Class A in quality showcasing designer grade materials and millwork.

Jones Lang LaSalle was able to meet all the needs of PerkinElmer, ensuring them a smooth and satisfactory transition to their new home. As a full service real estate partner, Jones Lang LaSalle worked collaboratively to address not only PerkinElmer’s leasing needs, but helped to create their new space from selection to occupation. From this collaboration, we were able to address the relocation project as a unit, creating a consistently reliable, accountable team for PerkinElmer for the entire process, providing peace of mind and a seamless transition to its new space.
